湾岸ミッドナイト (Wangan Midnight) Description
Based on a seinen manga by Kusunoki Michiharu serialised in Young Magazine.
The story gets its roots from the actual street racing that occurs on Tokyo's Shuto Expressway, one stretch of which is known as the "Wangan", literally meaning "bay side" (although it is generally used to refer to the freeway), the longest, straightest road in the entire country. Of course, there's also lots of traffic to contend with, including a fair number of heavy trucks. Because of this, the action is inherently hazardous, and wrecks are common. Blown engines are also a frequent hazard, especially with the extreme-high power engines.Credits: AniDB

Is anybody able to explain how to watch these streaming versions on the site? Clicking on them just brings uip advertistments. Do we have to install anthing to view them?

It's surprising that nobody here seems to be able to suggest a workable resolution to the problem.
It makes the site owners look like a bunch of hacks with very little technical knowledge, who are possibly just interested in directing traffic on their site to advertisers.

I don't think anybody has a problem with you having a life. However, I have seen this issue reported a number of times by various people and neither the administrators of this site, or anybody else, has been kind enough to advise that they are aware of the issue or have any possible solution.
Can you blame people for getting frustrated?
This is why many sites save themselves the time and hassle of constantly having to answer similar questions over and over again by creating an FAQ section.
e.g.
FAQ

first off i would like to thank you for uploading this entire series...it has been a thrill wo watch...secondly if there are any more automotive related anime besides initial D out there i would love to see them as well...in closing you did a great job...oh and BTW before i forget episode 26's subtitles are non-existent...i wish i knew japanese so i wouldnt need them but if u could fix it so i finish the series that would be greatly appreciated

LOVE the fact some one finally finished subbing this show great job!!!!! but any word if theirs going to be a torrent link? not trying to complain, just have a crappy internet link that doesn't do streaming video very well. Love to see a torrent no I can watch it easier. Or is there some reason your not doing that any more that I haven't read about?

Retard. As mentioned previously, the work has already been done. According to WMA it just needs to be uploaded. This is why everybody is getting upset at the delays occuring for a relatively minor task (especially since the streaming section of this site doesn't work correctly) Otherwise they might be happy to wait if they had already been able to view it.

That is no rant, unfortunately.
There have been a lot of fansubbing groups that have started this series and then stopped, for seemingly no reason other than lack of organisation and disinterest. As a result I now have very little respect for such groups.
A big thank you to the guy who actually "walked the walk", hunkered down, actually had his shit together, and finally got the job done.

Initial D Stage 5 has not been released yet (even in Japan), so nobody will be able to sub it.

Great show! I have a z sitting here that's beckoning to be resurrected akuma no zeto style. It ended on a good note, I'm satisfied sort of, but deffinitly left the door wide open for another season.
